Aging in place remodeling involves modifying your home so you can live safely, comfortably, and independently as you grow older, without needing to move. This includes updates like accessible bathrooms, wider doorways, and mobility-friendly layouts. #### How long does an aging-in-place remodel take? Timelines vary by project. Most accessible bathroom remodels take 4–6 weeks, while full home renovations or kitchen remodels can take 8–12 weeks after the design phase is complete. #### Can you help with multigenerational living remodels? Yes. Many of our clients are blending households or preparing to welcome aging parents or adult children. We design multigenerational home additions and remodels that provide privacy, accessibility, and comfort for all. #### Will the design still look stylish? Yes. Accessibility doesn’t mean sterile. Our interiors reflect accessible luxury, that means your design is beautiful, personalized, and unpretentious. Every material and feature is selected to support both form and function. #### Do I have to move out during an aging-in-place remodel? Not always. Many of our clients stay in their homes during remodeling, especially for kitchens or bathrooms. If you choose to stay, we’ll help set up temporary cooking or hygiene stations so you can function comfortably throughout the project. If the scope requires you to be out (like during plumbing or demo phases), we’ll give you a detailed timeline well in advance so you can make a plan. Either way, you’ll know exactly what to expect, with no surprises. “Ati was an absolute dream to work with. She offered savvy financial guidance, brought a unique design aesthetic, stayed calm and composed through every challenge, and kept us organized and informed with clear, effective communication.” #### — Jessica, Coronado "Honeycomb Design and Build nailed our kitchen and bathroom remodels. The interior design is so beautiful and looks straight out of a magazine. They finished the renovation project ON TIME and 20k UNDER BUDGET." #### — Mia, Hillcrest "Honeycomb stood out as a construction company in San Diego from the start, combining unmatched craftsmanship, constant updates, and a refreshing, stress-free approach led by a woman-owned team." #### — Green, North Park "Honeycomb has changed the standard from which I will judge interior designers and contractors forever...they are really THAT good, and that far above the crow. Best construction company in San Diego." #### — Laurel, Bird Rock [More Reviews](https://heyhoneycomb.com/honeycomb-design-remodel-reviews) ## Are We the Right Fit?
